Ghostwrite was founded in 2022 by Josh Luber, co-founder of StockX and Fanatics Collectibles, and publicly launched its first release on August 13, 2024. Billed as "the first true collectible brand," Ghostwrite sells blind-box figures called "ghosts," designed as a storytelling platform for athletes, brands, and individuals, with officially licensed partnerships across MLB, NBA, WNBA, and their players associations.

Every blind box is a gamble worth taking: you might open a Base figure, or you might land a Fire or Chrome parallel that instantly becomes the piece everyone in the community is chasing. With officially licensed drops tied to MLB, NBA, and WNBA stars, these aren't just toys, they're the same rarity-driven chase that made trading cards iconic, now built into a physical collectible. Once a box sells out, it's gone for good, so every release is a race to grab your shot at the hit or you can purchase specific pulled players if available to join your collection.
